Greenhithe & Knockhall

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

Antisocial behaviour.

Issued 08 October 2025

We held 'coffee with a cop' sessions and local surgeries, giving residents the chance to meet their beat officer, receive updates and get safety advice. Officers also carried out high‑visibility and plain‑clothes patrols, which helped identify persistent offenders and led to sanctions being issued under the Antisocial Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. We continue to work closely with local stakeholders to reduce opportunities for antisocial behaviour.

Fly tipping.

Issued 08 October 2025

Officers have worked closely with partner agencies, including Dartford Borough Council, and enforcement action has been taken against those identified as responsible. Engagement with local landowners has helped reduce repeat offending in secluded areas by limiting access, which in turn has helped prevent fly‑tipping. Officers have also carried out stop checks on lorries and vans believed to be carrying waste to ensure the correct documentation is in place.

Drug dealing.

Issued 08 October 2025

We have increased patrols in the area, both on foot and in marked and unmarked police vehicles. Officers have carried out stop checks on people of interest, and we have been gathering intelligence to build a clearer picture of what is happening locally. Once all the information has been reviewed, our Neighbourhood Task Force will take the appropriate action.
