E-scooters / E-bikes.

As well as regular patrols, officers have carried out dedicated enforcement days to tackle concerns about the illegal or antisocial use of e-scooters and e-bikes. These operations use additional policing resources to focus on areas where problems have been reported, helping to identify offenders, deal with offences and improve safety for local residents. Officers continue to monitor the issue and take action where illegal or dangerous use is identified.

Drug dealing.

Officers have carried out targeted operations in response to concerns about drug dealing in the area. These activities focus on identifying and disrupting people involved in the supply of illegal drugs. As a result of this work, a suspected drug dealer was arrested following a vehicle stop and remains under investigation for possession with intent to supply. Officers continue to patrol areas where concerns have been raised to deter offending, gather intelligence and help keep local communities safe.

Antisocial behaviour.

Officers have worked closely with local residents to address antisocial behaviour concerns at identified problem locations. Following reports from the community, a Closure Order was obtained for an address causing significant disruption. A Closure Order is a court order that can temporarily restrict access to a property where serious antisocial behaviour or criminal activity is taking place. The order was later extended to provide continued protection for those affected.

Officers have also issued Community Protection Warnings to individuals whose behaviour was having a negative impact on the local area. A Community Protection Warning is a formal warning that requires a person to stop behaviour that is causing harassment, alarm or distress to others. Officers continue to work with residents and partners to reduce antisocial behaviour and improve community safety.
