St Stephen's

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Report crime

Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.

If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

  • in an emergency, call 999

  • call 101 for non-emergency enquiries

Issued 22 April 2026

This is a priority for the next 3 months. We have identified this based on feedback from local residents, crime data, and ongoing concerns in the area.

Actioned 22 April 2026

E-scooters.

Issued 03 February 2026

There have been no reports of nuisance e‑scooters in this area in recent months. We encourage residents to continue reporting any issues so we can identify problem locations and increase patrols where needed. This helps officers take action, including stopping and seizing e‑scooters that are being used illegally.

Actioned 25 March 2026

Drug dealing.

Issued 03 February 2026

Your local beat officer has gathered information from residents in the Beverley Meadow area, where drug dealing is believed to be taking place. Any details received have been submitted as intelligence to support wider police work. The location has now been prioritised for high‑visibility patrols, and the Neighbourhood Task Force has been requested to assist with targeted activity in the area.

Beat officers have made an arrest after stopping a suspect found in possession of a large quantity of suspected heroin. The investigation is ongoing.

Actioned 17 March 2026

Road safety issues.

Issued 03 February 2026

Residents have raised ongoing concerns about traffic outside St Stephen’s Primary School. Your local beat officer has been working with the school’s head teachers and providing a high‑visibility presence, supported by local Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), to discourage drivers from stopping or parking on the zig‑zag lines.

We have also been liaising with St Stephen’s ward councillors, who are working with local residents to engage with Kent County Council about longer‑term solutions. One suggestion has been the use of large safety cones, similar to those used outside other schools, to highlight the presence of children and help reduce parking offences.
