Greenhill

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Report crime

Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.

If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

  • in an emergency, call 999

  • call 101 for non-emergency enquiries

E-scooters.

Issued 03 February 2026

This priority continues to be an ongoing issue in the area, and beat officers have been working hard to address it. At one location, a member of the public was found to have more than 30 second‑hand e‑scooters for sale. PC Handley spoke with the individual, took photographs of the scooters and recorded their identifying details.

PC Handley is now working with the Kent Police Vehicle Seizure Team to investigate how these scooters were obtained. This forms part of an active and ongoing investigation. In the meantime, proactive high‑visibility patrols are taking place to provide reassurance, offer education and take enforcement action where needed.

Actioned 17 March 2026

Fly tipping.

Issued 03 February 2026

There has been one report of fly‑tipping in the Greenhill ward in the last three months. Kent Police work with Canterbury City Council to identify those responsible, and the council is the lead agency for taking enforcement action. When appropriate, Kent Police will arrange forensic examination of fly‑tipped waste to help identify who dumped it.

Actioned 17 March 2026

Nuisance motorcycles.

Issued 03 February 2026

Over the past three months, Kent Police has received one call a month about nuisance vehicles in the Greenhill ward. These reports include complaints about electric bikes being ridden on the pavement and noisy vehicles in the Bullockstone Road area.

Local officers are gathering this information to build an enforcement plan for the worst‑affected locations, but more reports are needed to help identify repeat hotspots and times. Police have powers under antisocial behaviour legislation to seize vehicles being used in an antisocial way when they are stopped.

High‑visibility patrols in Greenhill will continue, and officers will deal with any vehicles causing nuisance or antisocial behaviour.
