Rural Task Force attachment

Rural Task Force attachment

Recently I was fortunate enough to do a short attachment working with the Kent Police Rural Task Force. The team works across Kent dealing with all manner of rural crime from poaching to livestock worrying.

Here is a short snippet of what I got up to…

Searched for poachers using quadbikes in the East of the county,

Helped seize a stolen mini digger in Yalding,

Learnt to drive a multitude of farming and plant machinery on the Rural training day,

Had a pursuit with a group of poachers,

Searched for vehicles involved in anti-social behaviour and poaching.

In the short time I spent with the team I got to experience some new things and learnt a lot to help me become a more knowledgeable beat officer.
