MCV – Speed Enforcement Activity

I conducted targeted speed enforcement checks in the villages of Hawkhurst, Benenden and Sandhurst following concerns raised by local residents regarding vehicles travelling at excessive speeds through these communities.

During the operation, a total of 5 vehicles were stopped for speeding offences and the drivers were dealt with accordingly. Appropriate advice and enforcement action were taken based on the circumstances of each offence.

Road safety remains a key priority, particularly in rural villages where pedestrians, cyclists, horse riders and other vulnerable road users regularly use the roads. Speed enforcement operations such as these aim to reduce the likelihood of collisions, improve driver behaviour and make local roads safer for everyone.

I will continue to conduct both enforcement and engagement activities in response to community concerns and to support initiatives aimed at reducing speeding and improving road safety.
