Wigmore Beat Update - Not Quite the Getaway He Planned!

Wigmore Beat Update - Not Quite the Getaway He Planned!

On 16 October, beat officer attended a report of a disturbance linked to a bilking incident in Wigmore. What started as a routine enquiry quickly turned into a successful arrest when checks revealed one male was wanted for multiple offences.

Safe to say, he thought he'd got away with it... unfortunately for him, we were already catching up! 👮‍♂️

To top it off, the vehicle he was using was being driven unlawfully and was promptly seized. 🚗➡️🚔

Just another reminder that even when offenders think they're one step ahead, we're often right behind them.

Your local Beat Officers will continue carrying out high-visibility patrols across Hempstea and Wigmore to tackle crime and keep our community safe. If you see something that doesn't look right, let us know.

👀 He thought it was just another day out... we thought it was a productive shift.
