Dear Resident Yesterday, officers received numerous reports of anti-social behaviour involving a large group of youths riding bicycles around the City Centre, causing concern to members of the public. In response, officers obtained a Section 34 dispersal authority and engaged with the group. A number of individuals were issued with dispersal notices, and bicycles were confiscated under the same legislation where appropriate. Kent Police remains committed to tackling anti-social behaviour and responding robustly to incidents that impact our communities. This proactive intervention resulted in the group dispersing quickly, and no further issues were reported for the remainder of the day. We would like to thank everyone who took the time to report their concerns to us. Information provided by the public helps us to identify issues, direct patrols effectively, and take positive action where necessary. Thank you for your continued support.
