🔐 Vehicle Security Reminder

Dear resident,

A male has recently been attempting to enter vehicles on residential driveways in the Bapchild area.

Officers attended promptly and identified a number of vehicles that had been entered and searched. Following enquiries and a review of available CCTV, officers suspected the male was hiding nearby. A containment was established and the area searched, resulting in one male being arrested for theft from a motor vehicle.

Whilst this male has been arrested and is now in custody, please be mindful when securing your property and vehicles and please ensure your CCTV and Ring Doorbell is operating and charged if applicable. 

🔐 Vehicle Security Reminder – Keyless Car Theft

We’re reminding residents to take extra care if you own a vehicle with keyless entry. We recently had a car stolen in our area after offenders used a relay device to capture the signal from the key, which was not stored in a Faraday pouch.

How to protect your vehicle:

Taking a few simple precautions can make a big difference in preventing this type of crime.
