Speedchecks Ash Road, Sandwich

Following reports of speeding on Ash Road, speed enforcement checks were carried out on 23 September 2026 between 2:30pm and 3:15pm. The operation resulted in one Traffic Offence Report (TOR) being issued for excess speed, and one motorcyclist being stopped and provided with words of advice regarding their riding.

Speed enforcement plays an important role in improving road safety, reducing the risk of collisions, and addressing concerns raised by local residents. By encouraging compliance with speed limits, enforcement helps make roads safer for all users, including pedestrians, cyclists, and other motorists.

Speed checks will continue to be carried out on Ash Road and at other locations across the ward where concerns have been identified by the community.
