Sus male stopped

On 28 August 2026, PC Wilson witnessed a male on London Road behaving in a manner that caused concern towards two females. The male was stopped and spoken to regarding his behaviour. During the encounter, a Section 1 stop search was conducted, resulting in a number of items being seized. The moped he was riding was also seized, and he was subsequently interviewed in relation to driving offences.

This stop demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the VAWG agenda and proactive policing. By challenging concerning behaviour and taking appropriate enforcement action, we aim to make our streets safer and improve public confidence, particularly among women and girls.
