In the early hours of Sunday 30th August 20206 at 03:00 two males were seen in the area of Joydens Wood going onto driveways and looking within vehicles acting suspiciously. Below are ways in which you can protect your vehicles. Please stay vigilant and following the guidance below

We’re reminding residents to take extra care if you own a vehicle with keyless entry

How to protect your vehicle:

Keep your key fobs in a Faraday bag/pouch to block the signal.

Store keys well away from doors and windows.

Consider additional security such as steering locks, driveway bollards or home CCTV/ Ring doorbell cameras.

Always check your vehicle is locked, even when using automatic locking systems.

Taking a few simple precautions can make a big difference in preventing this type of crime.

If you see anything suspicious, please report it via 999, 101 or online reporting tool.
