Community Engagement Event at Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre |
||
|
A big thank you to everyone who stopped by and spoke with us at Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre yesterday! 👋 Your local Beat Officers were out with the My Community Voice van for a few hours, engaging with residents, shoppers, families, and young people from across the Hempstead and Wigmore community. 😊
It was fantastic to meet so many of you, listen to your concerns, answer questions, and discuss the issues that matter most in our neighbourhoods. We were also pleased to sign up a number of residents to My Community Voice, helping more people stay informed about what is happening in their local area. 📱✅
During the event, we spoke about: 🚺 Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and the work Kent Police is doing to make our communities safer. 🛴 E-scooters and E-bikes, including the current legislation, safe and responsible use, and how we tackle concerns raised by residents. 👮 Neighbourhood policing, including high-visibility patrols, tackling anti-social behaviour, gathering intelligence, and working with partners to keep Hempstead and Wigmore safe. 🤝 Community issues and local concerns, giving residents the opportunity to speak directly with their local officers.
We gathered valuable feedback and intelligence from the community, helping us identify local priorities and ensure our patrols are focused where they are needed most. If you didn't get the chance to see us this time, keep an eye on My Community Voice for details of future events and opportunities to speak with your local officers.
💙 Thank you for your continued support. Working together, we can make Hempstead and Wigmore safer places to live, work, and visit.
