Hello all, Just another short update for everyone, largely regarding proactive road traffic enforcement I have been undertaking since my last update, as this understandably continues to feature strongly amongst residents’ concerns. Colleagues and I had a youth on a high-powered e-bike make off from us whilst we were carrying out foot patrol. Further investigation and enquiries led to this e-bike being successfully stopped and the rider detained later in the day. The e-bike was seized for having no insurance or licence and the rider issued the relevant traffic tickets. These vehicles present a real danger to other road users, pedestrians and the riders themselves, so I am always keen to take action on this issue.Whilst on mobile patrol, I identified a suspicious moped which was followed until the driver attempted to make a quick getaway. He was stopped and provided a positive roadside drugs wipe so was arrested on suspicion of drug driving. His moped was also seized for having no insurance.Due to demand, I have been assisting local response team with 999 calls, attending 11 calls since my last update. I have also been responding to residents’ concerns, providing reports to local councillors, conducting visible patrolling, and reviewing incidents reported on my wards. I have made a further arrest on suspicion of drink driving. This followed a proactive stop of a car seen driving in a dangerous manner, and the driver failing a roadside breath test.I have assisted colleagues in CID with identifying the suspect of a sexual assault, who was promptly located and arrested the same day by my colleagues and I. As always, I need your help with spreading the word about these updates as often residents aren't aware about the My Community Voice platform. Please feel free to share with anyone you think may be interested! Warm regards,
