Dear Resident, 📢 Meet Medway Community Safety Unit at the Kent & Medway Indian Mela 2026 Medway Community Safety Unit officers will be attending the Kent & Medway Indian Mela 2026 on Saturday 15 August 2026 at Lordswood Leisure Centre, Chatham from 12 noon to 4pm. Come along and visit our Crime Prevention and Community Engagement Stand to meet local officers, discuss any community concerns, receive crime prevention advice, learn about current policing initiatives, and find out how to stay connected through My Community Voice. | Kent & Medway Indian Mela 2026 | There will be two important inauguration sessions:
• 12:00 noon – Community Event Inauguration, marking the official opening of the community programme.
• 2:00pm – Inaugural Session with the Deputy Mayor, Leader of Medway Council and other distinguished guests.
We would be very pleased to have Kent Police representatives present during these sessions, subject to your availability, as their participation would further highlight the importance of partnership working between the police and our diverse local communities.
