Expired MOT results in roadside fine

Officers have stopped a vehicle travelling through Kennington this evening after it was found to have no valid MOT certificate.
 

In response to ongoing road safety concerns raised by local residents, officers conducted checks and issued the driver with a Traffic Offence Report, carrying a £100 fixed penalty.
 

The driver must now arrange for the vehicle to undergo a valid MOT inspection. Continuing to use the vehicle on the road without a valid MOT may lead to further enforcement action and could invalidate the driver's motor insurance.
