Good work by local officers in Rochester

Whilst on proactive patrol in the City Way area of Rochester, local Beat Officers stopped a vehicle suspected of being involved in a recent high value theft in Sittingbourne.

Working alongside colleagues from the Roads Policing Unit, officers carried out enquiries which resulted in the driver being arrested on suspicion of theft-related offences.

Following a search, all property linked to the theft was recovered and will now be returned to the victim.

The suspect has since been released on bail whilst further enquiries are carried out.

This result highlights the value of proactive policing and partnership working between local officers and specialist teams to identify offenders, recover stolen property, and help keep our communities safe.
