Crime Update

Hello St Peters and Beacon ward residents,

Over the last week, we have continued our proactive patrols across the district, targeting road safety offences, anti-social behaviour and nuisance vehicle use.

✅ 2 modified e-bikes seized after being identified as having significant modifications which legally class them as motorcycles, making them uninsured and unsuitable for use without the correct licence and vehicle registration.

✅ 1 e-scooter seized after officers observed two juvenile riders travelling on the same scooter, creating a significant safety risk to themselves and other road users.

✅ 1 male reported for summons for disqualified driving. The driver was stopped in his vehicle and found to be driving whilst disqualified. The vehicle was subsequently seized.

🎆 I also assisted in policing the Broadstairs Fireworks Night, where one male was arrested for assault. Throughout the evening, several groups of juveniles involved in anti-social behaviour were also dispersed, helping to ensure the event remained safe and enjoyable for the wider community.

🏍 Appeal for Information – Off-Road Motorcycles

We have received several further reports of off-road motorcycles being ridden illegally within the Beacon and St Peters wards, causing concern for local residents.

If you have any video footage, photographs, Ring doorbell footage or any information that may assist in identifying those responsible, please come forward. We are actively investigating these reports and are currently working to identify the individuals involved.
