Burglar Sent To Prison

On Friday 10th July, I attended an emergency call for a report of a burglary at Holy Trinity Church, Queenborough. Alongside fellow Island Beat Officers PC Honess, PC Marshall and PC Savage, as well as Faversham Beat Officer PC Tancock, we promptly attended the location to investigate.

Thanks to the swift response and teamwork of the officers involved and witnesses, a suspect was identified. Within five minutes of reaching the scene, PC Savage located and arrested the male on suspicion of burglary. The quick actions of those who contacted us, along with the valuable information they provided, played a significant role in enabling officers to respond swiftly and effectively. 

The male was charged and remanded to court where he has pleaded guilty and been sentenced to a total of 10 months in prison for this and other offences.

Incidents such as this highlight the importance of rapid reporting from the public and the commitment of local neighbourhood policing teams to respond quickly and effectively to crimes in our communities. We will continue to work proactively to keep our communities safe including the people, buildings, places of worship and safe community spaces that are at the heart of our towns and villages.
