Crime Update

Hello St Peter’s & Beacon Ward residents,

Here is a quick update from your Community Safety Unit on some of the recent activity and positive outcomes in your area:

✅ A male was arrested following an assault on a local shop worker. He has since been charged with:

✅ Whilst on foot patrol in the Westwood area, officers seized an illegal e-bike that was legally classified as a motorcycle.

✅ A shoplifting suspect was identified in a local St Peter’s store through proactive local policing and officer knowledge of the area.

✅ Officers dealt with three juveniles responsible for anti-social behaviour after taking windscreen washer fluid from a local store and emptying it onto the ground. The youths paid for the stolen items and were issued Community Resolutions for theft.

✅ CSU officers have also been conducting high-visibility patrols on police bicycles across Margate, St Peters, Ramsgate and Broadstairs. During these patrols, a further illegal e-bike was stopped and seized.
