Headcorn International Airshow

Local beat officers were pleased to attend the Headcorn International Airshow at the weekend, supporting event organisers and engaging positively with members of our community.

We hosted a community engagement stall in partnership with our Citizens in Policing colleagues, which proved to be a great success.

Visitors were invited to come and speak with us, try on some of our kit, and even sit inside a police car and van – something which was particularly popular with younger attendees. It provided a fantastic opportunity to break down barriers, answer questions about policing, and give an insight into the work we do.

The event offered a valuable chance to speak with residents and visitors in a relaxed setting, helping to build trust and strengthen relationships. We were delighted to engage with families, aviation enthusiasts, and local stakeholders, offering crime prevention advice and promoting opportunities to get involved in policing.

The feedback received was overwhelmingly positive, with many appreciating the visible and approachable presence of officers and volunteers.

Events like this are key to fostering strong community links, and we thank everyone who took the time to speak with us. We look forward to continuing to work closely with our communities to keep Kent safe.
