Conningbrooke Lakes Country Park - Dispersal area |
||
|
Good morning Resident
Due to multiple report of Anti-Social Behaviour at Conningbrooke Lakes Country Park yesterday there is now a S.34 Authorisation to use powers under s.35 Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 to disperse groups who attend today and tomorrow. This has been authorised by a Police Inspector.
What the authorisation allowsOfficers in uniform can use Section 35 powers, which include: Failure to comply is a criminal offence.
This applies to adults and juveniles.
Sadly this action has been taken because of groups attending yesterday and not respecting other visitors to the Country Park. Their behaviour especially verbal abuse was towards visitors attracted multiple reports to police. Young persons were also given repeated warnings and advised of the dangers of entering the Lakes. If you have children please consider if they will be attending the Lakes, the dangers there are, the PSPO that is place, and if they are likely to involve themselves with any disorder.
Thank you. | ||
