ASHFORD & DISTRICT NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH MEETING FRIDAY JUNE19th

Sent on behalf of the East Kent NHW Chair, Adrian Lidgett.

Following on from a previous meeting, in March, Kent Police would like to invite you to attend the next meeting on 19th June.

This meeting will be held at Ashford Police Station on Friday 19th June @ 18:30pm. There is free parking at Vicarage Lane car park after 1800pm and Elwick Rd car park from 3pm both only a short walk from the police station. Please meet at the side entrance to the police yard in Norwood St. situated round the corner from the main entrance where a local officer will be there to greet attendees at 18:30pm.

The evening will consist of:

Several beat officers in attendance, who will introduce themselves and give an outline of their roles and aspirations for NHW.

There will also be opportunities for local coordinators and members to share a presentation platform to update events and local matters: lively discussion on your aspirations for NHW and how you would like to see engagement with Police progressing and improving for the general benefit of all residents welcome.

There will also be a presentation on catapults and their use and misuse with some interactive elements also included, this will be followed by a short introduction to the dangers from Knife crime given the topical local matters.

Prior to the meeting, from 17:30, there will also be a small drop in workshop, with the NHW Liasion officer Samuel Brookes, to assist with any technical isues or general questions relating to My Community Voice. There is an active aim to make NHW accessible to all and to feel more engaged with one another and Kent Police, but this isn't achievable without, YOU the members so please come and have your say.
