Anti-social behaviour in Sandgate

I hope you are having a great weekend and enjoying the slightly more bearable heat (give me shade and a cup of tea any day!).

There has been a slight increase in the reports of anti-social behaviour within the Sandgate area, this includes groups gathering on the beach and in the car parks nearby. Police officers attended and dispersed these groups, and we will continue to monitor the area to disrupt any activity that causes others alarm and distress. 

There have been other reports of two youths climbing on buildings and putting themselves in dangerous situations, we are engaging with these persons and our child centred policing team has been made aware of them. This team will consider any interventions that will deter them from this behaviour.

However, aside from that it continues to be a safe place  to be and it has been great to see the area so busy with people visiting and supporting local businesses.
