Business Crime Update - Herne Bay area

Dear Residents,

We are aware of a number of burglaries affecting local business premises in the Herne Bay area over the past couple of weeks. We want to reassure you that officers are aware and continue to carry out patrols and enquiries in the area.

As a precaution, please take a moment to review your security on business premises:

Check doors, windows and shutters are locked and in good condition

Ensure alarms and CCTV are working correctly and set when premises are closed

Keep keys secure and avoid leaving them on site overnight

Remove cash from tills and keep valuables out of sight

Use lighting or timer switches where possible
