E-Scooters/E-Bikes

Good afternoon,

As part of Response Policing Week, officers from Response Team 4 seized an e‑scooter today after it was found being used unlawfully in Valley Forge Close, Tonbridge.

This follows continued proactive work by Neighbourhood Task Force officers, who have seized a further five e‑scooters and e‑bikes over the past couple of weeks across the district.

🚫 Important reminder

Privately owned e‑scooters and some adapted or modified e‑bikes are illegal to use on public roads, pavements, or other public spaces. Using them in public can result in seizure and prosecution.

⚠️ We have seen these vehicles used to:

Anyone found using e‑scooters or illegal e‑bikes for anti‑social behaviour or to commit crime can expect robust action, including seizure of the vehicle and prosecution.

📢 We ask the public to continue reporting sightings of e‑scooters or illegal e‑bikes being used. Do not put yourself at risk, but where safe and appropriate, photos or footage that clearly identify the rider can greatly assist police action.
