On Saturday 7th March 2026, the local beat officer was on patrol in Charing alongside his colleague, when they spotted a Red Vauxhall Zafira driving erratically. The vehicle was stopped inside Charing Playing Fields whereby it came to light that the driver was driving without valid insurance. He was dealt with accordingly and reported for traffic offences. Nuisance and careless road users will be targeted as part of our commitment to tackle Road Safety Issues, which have been specifically highlighted by members of the Charing Parish.
