Community Speedwatch - 03/03/2026 |
||
|
Good afternoon, Resident,
On Tuesday 3rd March 2026, PC 13523 Wright from(Speedwatch Engagement & Enforcement Officer) and PC 30626 Costin from Sevenoaks Beat Team attended and provided support to the Seal Community Speed Watch Team on Stone Street Road. During the deployment, one vehicle was recorded travelling at 41mph in the posted 30mph zone. This vehicle has been issued with Traffic Offence Report (TOR).
Speeding – Safety AdviceSpeeding continues to be one of the leading contributors to serious injury and fatal road collisions. Even small increases in speed significantly reduce a driver’s ability to react to unexpected hazards. At 40mph, a vehicle’s stopping distance is almost double that of 30mph, increasing the risk to pedestrians, cyclists, and other road users. We encourage drivers to: A small reduction in speed can make a significant difference in preventing serious collisions and keeping our communities safe.
Many thanks,
PC Costin
