You Said We Did: Nuisance Vehicles

Dear Resident,

Many residents in the are have raised concerns surrounding nuisance vehicles in your local area. On the weekend, we delivered a major crackdown on nuisance vehicles across the district — an operation led by your local beat officers with exceptional support from other departments including Rural Task Force, Traffic Officers and volunteer officers from the Special Constabulary.

Over the three days, the teams worked tirelessly across Barnfields, Chatham, Gillingham, Lordswood, Hempstead Valley, Strood, and Rochester, targeting illegal e‑scooters, off‑road bikes, and individuals causing harm or disruption in our communities. We’re proud to share that BBC News attended, capturing officers in action—including drone deployments by our Special Constables.

🚔 In total there were over 30 vehicles seized!

This was a high‑impact, high‑visibility operation, and the teamwork between all departments was exceptional. The results of this weekend pave the way for future operations and create a solid foundation that we wish to build upon. Many of these vehicles were not easy to intercept, and the determination shown by officers across all three days demonstrates our commitment to tackling the issues raised by you, our community.
