Farewell Message and Replacement Officer

Dear Resident

I hope you are all keeping well.

I am writing to let you know that I will soon be leaving my role as your Beat Officer for St. Stephen’s Ward. After 11 years of service with Kent Police, and having had the privilege of being your dedicated beat officer for over two years, I will be transferring to Cumbria Police. My final working day will be Monday, 23rd February 2026.

Serving this community has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career. I have genuinely valued the support, cooperation, and kindness shown by residents, local organisations, and businesses. St. Stephen’s is a community with real character and resilience, and it has been an honour to work alongside you.

I am pleased to share that PC 15503 Gary Sorrell will be taking over as your new Beat Officer. Gary is an experienced and capable officer who will be joining the CSU team next week, and I know he will continue the positive work we have built together.
