Shoplifting arrest / Nuisance motorbikes / A228 update - Paddock Wood |
||
|
Dear Residents.
A quick update to inform you of some of the work that has gone on today in your area.
After a quick foot chase PC Scudder detained a male from the Medway area after a report of shoplifting from Waitrose. Together with myself and the British Transport Police, over £200 worth of goods were recovered from the male and returned to the store. The male is currently under arrest and in custody, and thanks to the excellent help of staff within the store, the relevant lines of enquiry have quickly been followed up and completed. This was a result we were hoping for after I have worked on developing a closer working relationship with the British Transport Police, due to criminals using the rail network to move around the county.
In regard to reports of horse and trap racing on the A228, together with the beat officers for East Peckham, we issued two traffic offence reports (tickets) for careless driving as well as two section 59 warnings to the respective drivers and vehicles. Should these drivers, or vehicles engage in any anti-social behaviour in the next year, then the vehicles, or vehicles they are driving should be seized.
We have had a recent number of reports for nuisance motorbikes in the Paddock Wood area, particularly on the Mascalls Grange estate. Whilst we have not had the chance to contact every resident that has reported these issues as of yet, we are looking at getting back to everyone where possible and looking into the reports. Action will be taken on this, as we know how important this issue is to those of you who are affected by it, and we are actively looking into it.
Kind regards, PC Connor Geelan Beat Officer - Paddock Wood. | ||
