Local News and Surgeries

Good morning and happy new year to all,

As the beat officer for Bean & Village Park, Darenth, Longfield, New Barn and Southfleet I would like to give you an update on local issues and also make you aware of ‘surgeries’ coming up.

As you all may be aware, a major issues raised across all beats are nuisance vehicles. Some good news, as of recent 2 vehicles have been stopped by myself and seized for various traffic offences. Although there are hurdles in the way of holding them to account, especially when not on highways or public roads. Kent Police will keep trying to overcome these hurdles and hold people to account when proportionate and legal to do so. 

I would ask for your continued support with these issues, although this is no quick process, with persistence and working together we can keep moving towards an outcome that is fair to all.

‘surgeries’ are informal meetings where people that live and work in the above wards can come and meet me in person and talk about any issues or ideas of how to challenge issues. I hold these at various places and times to give everyone a fair opportunity to see me. My next three are below and I look forward to seeing you, even if you haven't got any issues to raise, come for a coffee and chat.

Darent valley hospital Main Foyer– 06/03/2026 @ 1000-1100 (subject to change, awaiting NHS trust to confirm this availability.)
