Whilst on mobile patrol on the A28 near St Michaels and the junction with Biddenden Road, I observed a white Land Rover which I believed was being driven by a local male known to me as being disqualified from driving. I stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, who confirmed that he was currently disqualified from driving. A roadside interview was conducted, during which the driver admitted he remained disqualified until late 2026 and was aware he should not have been driving. The driver was reported for the offence of driving whilst disqualified. Due to committing a moving traffic offence, a roadside drugs wipe was administered, which returned a positive result for cannabis. The male was arrested and conveyed to Canterbury Police Station, where a blood sample was obtained for analysis. He was subsequently bailed pending the results of the blood test. | ||
