General Update.

Hello everybody!

Hope you are all safe and well!

Two weeks ago, we lost PC 31265 KERRY who successfully completed her probation and has left to start her new career with the Tonbridge Neighbourhood Task Force. During the last two weeks, we have seen a big increase in the number of 999 calls which has meant that we have been abstracted to assist the Local Policing Teams cope this demand. The majority of these calls have still been in the Malling area so we have still had a visible present in the areas I look after.

Both PC 30457 WARNER and I have attended a domestic incident, 2 criminal damage incidents, 2 incidents whereby members of the public have been assaulted, 1 road traffic collision and 2 mental health incidents (along with numerous other incidents that are not classed as 999 calls).

We have also dealt with a number of neighbour disputes and attended a council meeting in West Malling in relation to ongoing issues on Norman Road and surrounding areas. We have increased patrols along Kingfisher Road in Larkfield and dealt with drunk and disorderly behaviour at the Royal British Legion Village.

Most schools have now broken up for the Summer Holidays so we do expect an increase in anti-social behaviour. Please ensure that these types of incidents are reported because if we are available we will attend and try and resolve them. ASB is often referred to as “low level” crime however we know it can have a dramatic effect on individuals being targeted. Both PC WARNER and I cover quite a large area and are often abstracted to deal with 999 calls. However, where possible we will assist with local issues and attend fetes and community functions. If you have any community events you feel would benefit from police presence please get in touch.

All that remains for me to say is enjoy the Summer holidays and look after each other! :)

Thank you.

CB.
