Arrest of suspected phone shop robbers following police pursuit in Sevenoaks

A police pursuit in Sevenoaks has led to the arrests of two men and a teenage boy suspected of robbing a phone store.

It is reported several devices worth around £4,000 were stolen from an EE premises near the High Street, after threats were made to a member of staff to access a storeroom.

The incident happened at 5.17pm on Friday 11 July 2025.

It is alleged two of the suspects entered the store whilst another waited in a vehicle outside.

By 5.27pm, all three had been arrested after responding patrols intercepted a vehicle in London Road.

Charges include further offences 

Joshua Burke, 18 of Breakspears Road, Lewisham and Shermaren Carty, 38, of Pentland Road, Slough were later both charged with robbery.

They were further charged with an attempted robbery, earlier the same day, at a Vodafone store in Sevenoaks High Street.

Carty was additionally charged with dangerous driving.

Both were remanded in custody to appear before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on Monday 14 July.

A 17 year old boy from Peckham was also charged with robbery and attempted robbery and is bailed to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 31 July.
