ROAD SAFETY AND GENERAL UPDATE

Good afternoon,

This week PC ROWLEY and I have completed 5 arrest taskings; assisted with an warrant at an address and arrested a suspect for being in possession of indecent images of children. We have also spent a lot of time around my areas with the speed gun and issued 11 tickets for exceed speed in Eccles and East/West Malling. I also attended Aylesford annual parish council meeting where I was asked about the ongoing issues with off road bikes driving on farmers fields in Burham and nuisance vehicles on the A228 near Snodland.

Kent Police have directed a lot of resources to catch and deter nuisance vehicles in these areas however a lot of the time its being in the right place at the right time. Officers have been dispersing nuisance vehicles in the area by being a visible presence. We will continue to do this and were possible issues tickets.

I remind all users that speed is one of the fatal 5. Please stick to the speed limit as this will reduce RTC's and deaths. I only issue tickets to educate and not punish. Although though only 11 tickets were issued many other drivers were spoken too regarding their speed.

I have also attached a poster which shows how you can register your CCTV so police can easily see from AXON who has CCTV in the area which can be requested via email. This will speed up investigations.

Drive Safe!!

Thanks

PC WARNER
