Abandoned Vehicle on May Road 07/05/2025

Afternoon All,

Yesterday at 1536hours, an Abandoned vehicle that had been on May Road, Rochester for several weeks was seized due to having not been properly taxed.

We did the respective enquiries to sort the issue without removal however they didn't bear fruit, so due to the fact the vehicle had a SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification) attached as well as the vehicle being on a public highway, we deemed it appropriate and were within our powers to have the vehicle removed via a recovery agency on behalf of the DVLA.

Vehicles must be taxed if they are to be parked or driven on a public highway, the way in which you do this can be found on the UK Government Website via the link below:

Tax your vehicle - GOV.UK

We hope this has impacted those affected by this for the better, even if its a minor change, we also appreciate any cooperation regarding matters like these.
