On the 21st March 2025 Medway Safety Unit officers and our Fraud Prevention Coordinator hosted a successful Fraud & Scams Prevention Event at Sunlight Centre, Gillingham with the Medway 50+ Friendship Group. 

This fantastic event was in partnership with Barclays Bank’s local specialist. 

Participants learned about different types of fraud and scams, the tactics used by fraudsters, and most importantly, how to stay vigilant and safeguard themselves from fraudulent activities. Kent Police and Barclays Bank also delivered a valuable presentation, while attendees had the chance to drop in and receive advice tailored to their needs.
