Fraud Prevention Presentation

Good morning!

I am your local Fraud Prevention Co-ordinator at Kent Police and I am keen to give Fraud prevention presentations on how to protect yourselves from the threat of Fraud to organisations and community groups!

The fraud prevention presentation I offer typically lasts 1 hour, including time for any questions at the end.

However, I can redact the presentation to 25-30 minutes with time for questions if you would prefer a shorter talk.

The presentation consists of a short introduction from myself, an overview of the three main types of fraud (vishing, smishing, and phishing) and then a short discussion regarding the most common and recent fraud attempts in your local area – things to look out for, and how to protect yourself etc. Then, I finish with a reminder of how to report fraud for yourself or on behalf of someone else, and allow some time for any questions!

If you have a projector than I can link my laptop up to display the presentation as I talk, but it’s not a problem if you don’t – I can just chat away and hand out some helpful leaflets!

There is no cost involved, the fraud presentations are something I offer at no additional cost within my role to protect our local communities from this type of crime!

The aim of the presentation is to raise awareness in regards to keeping safe from fraud, and if anyone is particularly worried then it provides them with a chance to ask questions for some advice and most importantly, reassurance.

The Fraud prevention presentation can be adapted for the needs and requirements of any group and can be booked for anytime in the future.

If you are part of or in charge of any groups that would benefit from this input, then please contact Emily Jenner at KFAS@ecis.police.uk
