Suspect charged following knife assault in Dover


A woman has been charged with attempted murder following a reported knife assault in Dover on Friday 17 January 2025.

It is reported the victim, aged in her 50s, was attacked as she was walking along Biggin Street at around 10.10pm that evening.

Arrest made

Security staff at a nearby pub intervened to restrain the suspect until police arrived. Officers were quickly at the scene and a woman was arrested and taken into custody.

The victim was treated at hospital for injuries to her back and has now been discharged. The suspect was unknown to her.

Suspect charged

On Saturday 18 January, Natasza Zakrzewska, of Salisbury Road, Dover was charged with attempted murder and threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place.

Ms Zakrzewska, 47, was remanded in custody to appear at an initial hearing before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday 20 January.
