General update - Capel & Paddock Wood

Dear Residents.

Since my last update, work has continued on tackling crime and anti-social behaviour in Capel and Paddock Wood. Continued efforts are being made to identify and deal with offenders of crime, and those responsible for causing anti-social behaviour. For those who are interested in an update, I thought I'd give an overview of what has been done over the last week or so in your areas.

Capel

- Together with the Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and a housing association, we held a joint meeting in regard to anti-social behaviour in a certain area. Whilst a lot of work has already gone into this specific issue, further work has been done and a Community Protection Notice has been issued.

- Working with another housing association, we have intervened in another incident of anti-social behaviour.

- This week I had a meeting with the Capel Parish Council and we discussed your area in detail. I feel this was very productive, and they are clearly passionate about the area in which you live. We discussed previous issues where progress has been made, as well as issues that have not necessarily been resolved as of yet. We will continue to work closely with the parish councils, councillors and other agencies to deal with the issues raised by the residents of the area.

Paddock Wood

- I have identified suspected offenders in different incidents that have a connection to Paddock Wood.

- We have continued to work closely with Mascalls, who have always been extremely helpful in assisting us with different enquiries.

- Further work has gone into offenders that use the roads to commit criminal offences. Information and intelligence has been gathered on those committing offences, which will go into the efforts put into catching them in the future.

- In regard to anti-social behaviour, once again more work has been put into curbing this where possible. I have been in constant contact with other agencies such as the Borough Council and different housing associations to deal with any anti-social that comes up. As you will have seen from my previous message, we had one report of youths with catapults earlier today. As always, if you have any information or wish to report any anti-social behaviour please report this via the right channels. I will continue to do what I can with the help of other agencies to do what is possible to tackle, prevent and deal with anti-social behaviour.

- In regard to concerns over parking on the Commercial Road I know that this has been passed onto the borough council. As you will have read before, I have also expressed my concerns to the Borough Council, and will continue to do this where possible.

I'm conscious that I do not want to make these updates overly long, so have kept it as brief as possible this week. As always please report anything you believe to be necessary to Kent Police via:

999 - Emergencies.

101/online reporting - Non-emergencies.

I hope you all have a good weekend.

Kind regards,

PC Connor Geelan.

Beat Officer - Capel & Paddock Wood.
