Information for young people on reporting and obtaining information

Good Morning,

Officers from the Sevenoaks Child Centred Policing Team visited a secondary school last week, to give assemblies to students. During the assemblies, both Online Safety and and Drugs/ Alcohol Awareness were covered with students.

As part of the assemblies officers gave students information, with regard to who to speak to if they are worried about anything in relation to these topics, where to go for advice and information and how to make a report.

We would like to ensure as many young people as possible, are aware of who to contact, if they are worried about anything, or want to get some advice or make a report. If a young person is in education, we would encourage them to make contact with the designated safeguarding lead at the school, or any member of staff they feel they are comfortable speaking to, a parent or another trusted adult. Reports can also be made directly to the police.

In addition to this, the following websites can be used to seek information and guidance or make a report, which can be done Anonymously. the below is not an exhaustive list.
