Officers from the Dover Neighbourhood Team were joined by the Roads Policing Team to engage with motorist along the A256, Ramsgate Road between the Ebbsfleet roundabout and the Sandwich Bypass. A number of vehicles were stopped and drivers spoken to. This resulted in: 

1 x arrest for drug driving

13 Traffic Offence Reports for offences including no insurance, excess weight, insecure load, speeding, bald tyre and people not wearing seatbelts. 

3 x vehicle seizures for offences including no insurance and no tax. 

This was a day of action operation with joint partnership working which we will continue to organise sporadically throughout the year to target motorists who are not abiding by the Road Traffic Act and in turn putting themselves and other road users at risk of harm.
