Rogue trading in the Town Centre.

We have had a few reports over the last 2 to 3 months that relate to persons in the Town Centre selling ‘knock off’ goods, specifically perfumes products as well as fake Apple products. This is something as Kent Police that we are looking to disrupt and clamp down on, but as a reminder, anyone that you see selling similar products out of a carrier bag will not have a license to do so. Unfortunately some of the sales techniques are often oppressive and have left people feeling that they were being hassled. These products are very likely either fake or stolen and could present a number of risks to your health for varying reasons, so if you do see people doing this in Ashford or any of the surrounding towns, please do not hesitate to report it to us via 101/online. You can alternativley share with Ashford Borough Council or Neighbourhood Watch.
