Cold Callers/Bogus Sales People

We have had a recent spate of reports whereby people have had visits from individuals cold calling at their properties and trying to sell items. 

The reports to date have been for a male, medium build, with very short blonde/ginger hair. The male is claiming to be wanting to sell items from a large duffel bag which he is carrying with him.

Has this happened to you? 

Have you captured the individuals on ring doorbell camera or CCTV?

Advice around Cold Callers:

  • Any suspicious behaviour or individuals please report via the link above
  • If possible answer the door through chain lock if you don't feel comfortable
  • Be polite but firm if you do not want any of their goods
  • Ask to see ID/ Company name
  • Don't invite into property
  • Look to invest in Ring doorbell or CCTV if possible
