Nuisance Moped Seized

Good Evening,

Thanks to a timely report by a local resident I was able to locate a moped which was riding dangerously around Elms Vale Rec this afternoon. The young rider had been warned before about his riding and as such his pride and joy has today been seized from him using Section 59 of the Police Reform Act. This power allows us to get nuisance vehicles off our roads and inconvenience those using them, with sizeable recovery costs due to be paid before they can reclaim their vehicle.

Any future incidents please consider reporting using 101 or 999 if you feel that people or property are at immediate risk. I will continue to take these vehicles off our streets as and when I can.
