Suspicious Event, Kippington Road

Dear Resident,

I would like to inform you of a suspicious event that occurred on Kippington Road in the early hours of Tuesday 6th February 2024. A resident was disturbed by a noise outside their home. Upon reviewing CCTV footage, two males were seen walking up the informants driveway and around the side of the house. The males were disturbed by the informant and made off from scene. I bring this to your attention so you can be extra vigilant.

Please follow the below crime prevention tips below to prevent you from becoming a victim of a burglary:

Install Motion-Activated Lights: Bright lights can deter intruders and alert you to their presence. Install motion-activated lights around the perimeter of your property.

Secure Doors and Windows: Ensure all doors and windows are locked securely before going to bed.

Trim Shrubs and Trees: Keep shrubs and trees trimmed to eliminate potential hiding spots for intruders. This improves visibility around your property.

Use Alarm Systems: Install a reliable alarm system that includes sensors on doors and windows. Display signs indicating that your home is protected by an alarm system.

Keep Valuables Secure: Avoid leaving valuables such as keys, wallets, and electronics near windows or doors where they can be easily seen and accessed.

Be Mindful of Social Media: Avoid posting vacation plans or other information that indicates when your home will be empty. This can alert potential intruders to an unoccupied property.

Stay safe and remain vigilant.
