THE VINE UPDATE - PSPO Consultation Concludes with Majority Support for Implementation

I would like to update you all on the result of the Vine PSPO consultation:

The Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) consultation, which closed on 24th September, received an encouraging response with a total of 253 submissions. A significant majority among the responses voiced support for the continuation of the PSPO.

Moving forward, in accordance with the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2014, the next phase involves seeking permission from the Local Authority. Important dates to note include the advisory committee meeting scheduled for 30th November and the final sign-off, if agreed upon, on the 14th December.

Should the proposal receive approval, the implementation process will involve the collaboration of the Community Safety Partnership, comprising of police, the council, and other essential partners. Plans include the installation of necessary signage, with the aim of executing the PSPO in the upcoming New Year.

Stay tuned for further updates following the Cabinet meeting in December, where developments on the PSPO will be addressed.
