This week-Monday 13th November 2023 marked the launch of Operation Sceptre - a national knife crime week of action that will run until Sunday 19 November 2023. Operation Sceptre is a national initiative that takes place twice a year with the aim of raising awareness of knife crime, its effect and the police action in detecting, reducing and preventing it. 

On 18/11/23 I visited local shops/businesses in the area to discuss ongoing issues and how best to safeguard the community including the upkeep of the "Challenge 25" policy and advise around the safe keep of knives within the store prior to purchase.
